Visagie hearing goes into third day
December 7, 2000

The disciplinary hearing into a positive drug test given by Springbok prop Cobus Visagie has been extended into a third day.

The hearing will resume on Friday. It is not sitting on Thursday as commission chairman Edwin King is unavailable.

Visagie tested positive for high levels of nandrolone following a Currie Cup match in October.

He has protested his innocence and is understood to have called scientific evidence to cast doubt on the reliability of nandrolone testing.

If Visagie is found guilty by the three-man disciplinary commission he will be banned from rugby for two years.
