Snyman at start of second coming

Springbok centre Andre Snyman is preparing to end 17 months of hell in a debut for the Sharks on Friday night in a Super 12 warm-up.

The 27-year-old, who broke an ankle scoring against the all Blacks in August 1999 only to suffer exactly the same injury to his other leg in a Super 12 curtain raiser.

Now the centre, who has 30 international caps is facingthe start of a crucial comeback against the Cats this Friday in the Absa Stadium, Durban.

He will be given time to prove his fitness in the Vodacom Cup with Natal Wildbeast while being introduced, gradually, back to Super 12, and who knows, possibly international action, as he regains match fitness.
