Sephaka will join Stormers

Springbok contracted prop Lawrence Sephaka is to join the Stormers Vodacom Rugby Super 12 team after talks between the South African Rugby Football Union and the Cats.

SARFU deems it as of the utmost importance that all players with SARFU contracts play in the Vodacom Rugby Super 12 competition, said CEO Rian Oberholzer. SARFU has, therefore, after talks with the Cats asked for Sephaka to join the Stormers to get more game time.

Sephaka will accompany the Stormers squad on Sunday on their tour to Australasia.

Versatile Cats back Conrad Jantjes has been injured and has thus been included in the Lions' Vodacom Cup team to assess his fitness. Coach Laurie Mains gave SARFU the assurance that Jantjes will rejoin the Cats squad once his fitness is beyond doubt.
