Cats and Sharks battle for Mostert

With Super 12 props at a premium South African rivals the Cats and the Sharks are set to battle it out for the services of Marius Mostert.

The Sharks need Mostert after prop Brent Moyle was banned for three matches today but last week the Cats announced he was their player to replace Heinrich Kok.

But the Sharks, with whom Mostert trained pre-season, are saying he is, in fact, their player.

Team manager Piet Strydom said he believes that they have first option on the player.
