Rossouw on his way home

Stormers coach Alan Solomons was dealt a further blow on Wednesday with the news that Bok flyer Pieter Rossouw was on his way home after failing to recover from his foot injury.

The lanky winger, who has been well below his best form during the Stormers' opening two games of campaign, was in doubt for Friday's crunch game against the Wellington Hurricanes at the WestPac Trust Stadium.

According to Solomons, Rossouw experienced the injury during the team's practice on Tuesday in Wellington. "Pieter is an experienced and valuable member of our side and I am extremely disappointed that he will have to return home".

Solomons added that the Stormers' medical staff had advised him that Rossouw will be out for at least six weeks.

"In our game this weekend, Werner Greeff will move from the bench into the No 11 berth and Greeff will be replaced by John Daniels on the bench", said Solomons.
