The Stormers have signed Argentina lock Manuel Carizza, who will arrive at the club after Argentina's November tour to Europe to play England, Wales and Italy. Carizza has played for Biarritz and Racing Metro in France's Top 14 and made his Test debut against South Africa in 2004. The 202cm second rower has featured in 11 of Argentina's 12 Tests in the Rugby Championship over the past two years, underlining his familiarity with southern hemisphere competition. The Cape Town-based Stormers lost a final and two semi-finals in Super Rugby from 2010-2012, then missed out on the play-offs completely this year. The 2014 season starts on February 15 with the Stormers' first match a week later. © AAP
