Kimi Raikkonen said he was not happy with second place at the Spanish Grand Prix but is taking positives from closing the gap in the championship to Sebastian Vettel.

Raikkonen finished second to Fernando Alonso in Spain after ultimately falling short on race pace to the Ferrari. He has now drawn to within four points of Sebastian Vettel at the top of the championship, but said he would not be happy until he is winning races again.

"We are not happy to finish second and until everything goes exactly as you want and you win races then we will not be happy," he said. "Sometimes one day it is better for you and sometimes it is more difficult and we just try to get the best out of every race day.

"We try and we want to win. Today we caught up with Sebastian a little bit in the points so even on a disappointing day something good has come out of it."

Asked what he thought of the complaints about tyres, after some of his rivals were forced to make four-stop strategies, Raikkonen said: "People will always complain. It's normal and inside all of us."
