Young prop Shaun Knight has agreed a new two-year deal with Gloucester.

The 21-year-old has made seven first-team appearances, including three appearances from the bench this season. He was a member of England's 2009 and 2010 Junior World Cup squads as well as spending four months with Counties Manukau in New Zealand.

Gloucester director of rugby Bryan Redpath said: "Shaun has made great progress over the past couple of seasons and has a very big future within the game. Tight head is an incredibly technical position to play and it does take time for players to hone their skills to be able to compete at the highest level.

"The fact that Shaun is now featuring regularly in our first team squad at the age of 21 speaks volumes for how well he is doing."
