Leicester Tigers have confirmed their six new signings ahead of next season.

Despite it being public knowledge that they have recruited the likes of Dan Bowden and Adam Thompstone from London Irish along with Miles Benjamin from Worcester, the Tigers have only just made their deals official. The Tigers have also confirmed the recruitment of Fijian winger Veroniki Goneva, ex-Tiger Matt Cornwell from Italy and Rob Andrew from Pau.

Richard Cockerill is looking forward to working with all six and said: "Continuity has been pretty good in the squad in the last couple of seasons and we've looked to bring in just six new players ahead of next season.

"Dan, Adam and Miles have gained a lot of Aviva Premiership experience and we're looking forward to seeing how they work with us. Dan is a good footballer and an instinctive player at centre or fly-half, and Adam and Miles have good scoring records on the wing. We obviously know Matt Cornwell well, he came through the academy system here, he has played senior rugby here and he knows the club. It's good to have him back.

"Rob and Veroniki have been playing club rugby in France, they are experienced players and we think they can make a big impression in our environment. As well as working on fitness, the pre-season programme is also about getting everyone together, working towards the kick-off in September and I'm sure all the new guys will settle in very well here."

Leicester have also confirmed those departing with Horacio Agulla joining Bath, George Skivington going to London Irish and Billy Twelvetrees off to Gloucester. Other moves see Tom Armes joining Bedford, Calum Green going to Leeds, James Grindal stepping down to the Championship with Bristol and Ben Pienaar going to Moseley. Monster winger Alesana Tuilagi will be going to Japan to play at the NTT.
