England attack coach Mike Catt was non-committal when asked whether they would re-shuffle their XV ahead of the match with Australia on Saturday.

England downed Fiji last weekend 54-12 with Charlie Sharples bagging a brace of tries and Alex Goode excelling. But with the previously suspended winger Chris Ashton now back in the mix, he will be pushing for a start against the Wallabies on Saturday.

Despite being one of England's most potent attacking threats, Catt would not be drawn on whether he will step straight back into the XV.

"The guys are on top of their games and to be honest it's about making sure what is the best team for us to beat Australia this weekend," Catt told Sky Sports News. "If that means changing it, we will, if it doesn't, we won't. Certain guys put their hands up at the weekend and performed well so there is no reason why we should change it.

"He [Ashton] doesn't have to come in. He's got a lot of credit for the way he has played. Hopefully he has learnt his lesson and won't do the things he has done which put him in a spot in the first place.

"We have a very important training session this afternoon and if he comes through that and plays well with the attitude we know he can have, he is definitely in with a shout."

And despite the Wallabies falling to a heavy 33-6 loss to France last weekend and also suffering from a lengthy injury list - which includes David Pocock who was ruled out on Tuesday - Catt has called on his side to remain focused and take their chances when they are presented.

"You never underestimate the Australians," said Catt. "I have had some fantastic games against them. It is always a humdinger and their tour will get back on track if they beat England.

"This is their next opportunity and we need to make sure we get our bit right. We have to build on what we did last week. We wanted to play a particular way and we did that but we have to make sure we don't get above ourselves.

"We have to make sure everything is composed and we are doing the right things at the right time. We won't get as much ball as we did last week and we will probably only get one or two opportunities, so we have to make sure we capitalise on them."
