Queensland Reds have made five changes to their jet-lagged line-up to face Melbourne Rebels in the Super Rugby clash at Suncorp Stadium on Saturday night.

Flankers Beau Robinson and Ed Quirk have been injected into the starting side while James Hanson will start at hooker ahead of Saia Faingaa. Utility back Ben Lucas returns at fullback to replace Jono Lance, who has a neck injury, while Ben Tapuai returns at centre in place of Chris Feauai-Sautia (hamstring).

The Reds suffered two losses on their tour of South Africa, and then took more than 40 hours to fly home after their flight was delayed and then cancelled. The Rebels are on a high after rare back-to-back Super Rugby wins including a last-start victory over New South Wales Waratahs.

Queensland Reds: Ben Lucas; Rod Davies, Ben Tapuai, Anthony Faingaa, Luke Morahan; Quade Cooper, Will Genia; Jake Schatz, Beau Robinson, Ed Quirk; James Horwill (captain), Rob Simmons; James Slipper, James Hanson, Greg Holmes. Replacements: Saia Faingaa, Ben Daley, Ed O'Donoghue, Radike Samo, Liam Gill, Nick Frisby, Mike Harris.
