Dragons duo set to switch regions

Newport Gwent Dragons duo Dan Evans and rising prospect Ieuan Jones have announced they will be switching their regional allegiance next season.

Evans, who has two Wales caps to his name, will be joining Ospreys in the summer after interest from clubs including Cardiff Blues and a number of Aviva Premiership outfits. Evans naturally plays full-back but is a versatile player who can also play at fly-half, offering Steve Tandy valuable squad depth.

Though they missed out on Evans, the Blues have confirmed No. 8 Ieun Jones will be joining them from Rodney Parade. The 20-year-old has been limited to just three starts for the Dragons this season - a disappointing return for a player who was a key member of Wales' Junior World Championship triumph last season.
