Rob Webber has added to the injury problems at Bath Rugby after picking up a knock to his ankle against Newcastle Falcons.

The hooker joins fullback Nick Abendanon and flanker Carl Fearns on the list of players doubtful for Saturday's West Country clash with Exeter Chiefs.

Webber was forced off inside 10 minutes of Bath's 26-6 win over Newcastle at The Rec last Saturday. He was able to walk off the field unaided, but head coach Mike Ford revealed the club are waiting for a scan to determine the extent of the injury.

Abendanon is recovering from a concussion and could be fit for Saturday, but Fearns is definitely out with a hamstring problem.

Ford told the Bath Chronicle: "It's the good, the bad and the ugly really.

"The good one is Nick. He got concussed and is going through the protocols. He's on day three and has passed all the tests so far. He's got another couple of days to go through and pass but all being well, he will be fine.

"The bad is probably Carl. He's not pulled his hamstring, so it's not as bad as we thought, but he might be out for a couple of weeks.

"The ugly is Rob. He's had it x-rayed and he's not broken anything but he's having it scanned this afternoon, so we will know more then how long he will be out for."
