France prop Rabah Slimani and his Italian counterpart Michele Rizzo have been hit with two-week suspensions after they were sent-off in Sunday's Six Nations match.

The pair were dismissed for their involvement in a brawl late on in the Test and after a hearing in London on Wednesday, the committee backed the official's decision to send-off the pair and handed down the punishments.

Both props were handed four-week suspensions but these were reduced to two on account of their "clear disciplinary record". As Rizzo was not due to play this weekend, he is free to play again on March 3 while Slimani will miss this weekend's Stade Francais match and France's next game against Wales. He is free to return on February 24.
