Bristol Rugby have continued to build for the 2014-15 season with the signings of Scotland flanker Ross Rennie and hooker Chris Brooker.

Rennie, who has 20 caps for Scotland, has been at the club on loan this season and has scored seven tries in nine games. He has signed a permanent two-year contract with Bristol and is delighted to be joining the club.

"Ever since I arrived at the start of the year I've been made to feel incredibly welcome by the players, coaching staff and supporters," Rennie said. "I had been told that Bristol was a passionate rugby city, but playing in front of our supporters at the Mem and the interaction that the players have with the fans has really emphasized that. It's a great place to be.

"I want to be playing in the top flight and regularly representing my country - I'm confident that I can achieve that playing for Bristol. I'd like to thank everybody at Edinburgh Rugby - I've had an incredible time playing there and will hold many fond memories."

Rennie will be joined by Brooker at the club who has penned a two-year contract to join from Worcester. Bristol boss Andy Robinson said: "Chris has got plenty of experience and a real appetite to achieve success. He's earned recognition with England Saxons, which is a testament to his attitude. We're building a squad that we believe can compete at the top level, Chris' addition adds another string to our bow."
