Chris Robshaw says he feels "extremely privileged" to have been handed the England captaincy again by Stuart Lancaster for the upcoming autumn internationals.

The Harlequins flanker was first named captain for the 2012 Six Nations at the start of Lancaster's reign, and will lead England for the Tests against New Zealand, South Africa, Samoa and Australia.

Robshaw lost the armband at Quins in the summer, although he filled in for the injured Joe Marler int he Champions Cup victory over Wasps on Sunday.

"It's always a huge honour," Robshaw told BBC Radio 5 live. "It's something you grab with both hands and something you are extremely privileged to be doing.

"It wouldn't be the same if I didn't have the great support around me. The character of the squad is second to none, and I'm really looking to meeting up with the guys and kicking on."

Lancaster has added nine players to his original 32 for the series, with world champions New Zealand first up at Twickenham on November 8.

"It's extremely exciting," Robshaw added. "The guys can't wait. The best teams in the world are coming to town, and that's who you want to play. They are the teams you want to play, they are easy to get up for.

"But there is a lot of hard work to do before we play the first game."
