Nemani Nadolo will miss Fiji's World Cup clash with Wales on Thursday after receiving a two-week suspension.

The giant Fiji wing was initially cited for a dangerous tip tackle after Fiji's 28-13 defeat to Australia at the Millennium Stadium last week.

He was cleared of the offence at a hearing on Monday but was instead adjudged to have committed an act of foul play.

Nadolo denied the offence and can still appeal the decision, but is currently banned until October 5 - the day before his side face Uruguay at Milton Keynes.

A World Cup statement read: "The judicial officer [Christopher Quinlan QC] deemed the act of foul play merited a low-end entry point of two weeks.

"He did not consider there to be any aggravating factors. However, taking into account mitigating factors including his excellent disciplinary record, the judicial officer reduced the suspension to a period of one week."

Fiji have already seen seen flanker Dominiko Waqaniburotu miss the defeat against Australia after being cited for a tip tackle on Jonny May in their opening defeat to England, while three of their players have been sin-binned so far.

Nadolo has scored Fiji's only try of the tournament against England and has contributed 16 of their 24 points.
