Scotland forwards Ross Ford and Jonny Gray have each been handed three-week bans by World Rugby for dangerous tackles in Saturday's Rugby World Cup match against Samoa.

The length of the pair's bans, which equates to three games, means that they will play no further part in this year's tournament.

Scotland have 48 hours to appeal the suspensions.
