The inaugural HSBC Sydney 7s will play to a full house at Allianz Stadium on February 6-7, after confirmation that all reserved and general admission seating were sold out nine days ahead of kick-off.

Sydney will host the fourth leg of the revamped HSBC Sevens World Series, in which teams are building their rosters ahead of the seven-man format's Olympic debut in Rio de Janeiro, and Australian Rugby Union chief executive Bill Pulver described the response from fans as "extraordinary".

"The stage is set for the biggest weekend of rugby that Sydney has ever witnessed," Pulver said.

Wallabies star Quade Cooper is in line to make his Australian Sevens debut in Sydney, with the All Blacks Sevens' dual Rugby World Cup winner, Sonny Bill Williams, also scheduled to appear after making his debut in Welloington.

The world No.1-ranked Australian women's sevens team will share the stage with their male counterparts, taking on Ireland in a three-match series across the two days, while eight Sydney club side will contest the Sydney Club 7s.
