The anthems are done - with Wales as usual giving it large. The referee is Peter Fitzgibbon of Ireland with English touch judges and video ref. The Samoans do their haka. They only had four days to practice ahead of this match but rehearsing that must have taken a good half day!

Wales get the throw and try to drive it forward - goes nowhere and Samoa get the scrum put in.

Wales again drive it on after throw - 5 man lineout - Box kick - ball in touch. Samoa throw. Wales win it and attack down the centre.

Short lineout again - but Samoa get it and kick. Halfpenny gathers and counter attacks.

Biggar for the posts and scores. He has been very impressive in the first 15 minutes.

Recycle on the Samoan 10 metres line. Slow ball - High cross kick - Samoa get it and kick long. Biggar gathers and puts up a high one. Samoa put it back and follow up - Halfpenny gathers but is isolated - penalty to Samoa.

Biggar to touch down the left. It was kickable to score - so confident by Wales. Ball taken and the forwards drive it on - penalty to Samoa - obstruction - truck and trailer.

Wales under pressure at the scrum and Samoa get a penalty. The game hasn't really taken off yet.

Ball down the pitch - ball to touch by Wales. Quick throw - high kick and Wales get it - ball right and up to half way. Halfpenny makes a break and passes on to Hook who is absolutely smashed in a really good tackle.

Another chance to narrow the score. Fili scores - The crowd jeer as he takes the kick. That is bad.

Samoa win their throw at the front and clear to touch midway in their half.

Wales on the attack after throw - recycle - ball out and Samoa nicks the ball and attack down the centre - Wales stretched - but Samoa just fail to get ball to hand.

Big scrum by Samoa - Wales pick up at the base. Ball out to Biggar and he drops the ball. His first mistake. Its half time.

The teams re-enter the arena. Wales to kick off in their unusual yellow shirts. Ball goes left, long and high at the start. Samoa drive it up - recycle - Samoa high cross kick. Wales get it and move ball slowly right.

The winger lines it up and he does well to score.

Captain Ryan Jones did really well to tidy it up. Wales put in at the scrum - 5 metres out.

Wales win their throw after penalty down the line. Ball move wide but forward pass. Samoa scrum on Wales 10 metres line.

Samoa get the 22 drop out and move the ball left - but Huw Bennett nicks the ball - recycle but Wales give away a penalty.

Samoa go left at the restart and Wales move the ball wide left - Hook makes a good break after great pass by Roberts. Hook messes up and knock on - a sad end to good play.

Wales get the ball after a little chip - ball moved slowly left. Recycle - knock on. Scum to Samoa on the half way line. The game is opening up but Wales need to stay calm.

Samoa nick the Welsh throw. Box kick - Wales gather and move the ball wide - Hook makes a really good break down the centre - but Samoa get back - Wales kick and its a 22 drop out.

Wales win their throw but immediately give way a penalty in front of the posts.

Wales up to their 10 metres line after drop out. Kick and Samoa Kick high back. Samoa regather and chip - Wales under huge pressure - Hook tackled - Halfpenny takes ball over the tryline. Scrum to Samoa.

Wales under real pressure. Wales again go to ground. The ref must be thinking about a penalty try.

Ball back to Biggar and he clears to touch just outside the Welsh 22.

Samoa win their throw and attack from their 22. Ball loose - kicked ahead - ball goes dead and the match ends with a Welsh victory but only just!
