Ross Rennie is a scavenging openside flanker who plays for Edinburgh and Scotland.
Rennie progressed through the Edinburgh academy before making his debut for the senior side against the Ospreys in the Magners League in September 2006. He was rewarded with a full-time deal so after and went on to be voted the players' player of the year for 2007/08. Rennie made his senior Scotland debut in February 2008 against Ireland in the Six Nations championship.
However his career was derailed by a knee injury that ruled him out of Scotland's tour of South America in 2008 and plagued him for the next two seasons. But he made his return to action and won a new two-year deal in May 2010.
In January 2011 he was called up to Scotland's squad for the Six Nations and came on as a replacement in his country's opening two fixtures, against France and Wales. His first start arrived later that year when he was named in the back-row for the World Cup warm-up Test against Ireland at Murrayfield.
