London Irish have confirmed the capture of Ospreys centre Jonathan Spratt and Edinburgh scrum-half Ross Samson for next season. Spratt, capped twice by Wales against Canada and the USA in 2009, has agreed a one-year deal at the Madejski while Scotland Sevens international Samson has inked a two-year contract. "Jonathan is a highly talented young player and another very useful addition to our squad. He is a strong, powerful runner, with great feet and good distribution skills," Exiles boss Toby Booth said. Samson added: "I am looking forward to working with Toby Booth and joining up with the rest of the London Irish squad. I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at Edinburgh but an opportunity to play in the Aviva Premiership was a chance not to be missed." Meanwhile, Exeter's Argentinian fly-half Ignacio Mieres has agreed a new one-year contract with the Chiefs. Mieres, 24, kicked 11 points as his side beat Wasps in their final game of the season last weekend. © ESPN Sports Media Ltd.
