Newcastle Falcons have re-signed Tongan centre Tane Tu'ipulotu on a two year deal.

Tu'ipulotu left the Falcons last summer to take up a contract with Japanese side Yamaha Jubilo and becomes Newcastle's fourth signing this week following in the footsteps of Rory Lawson, Carlo del Fava and Scott Macleod in penning a deal with the club.

Despite question marks surrounding what division the club will play in next term, Tu'ipulotu is relishing the chance to return to Kingston Park.

"When I initially left the Falcons for Japan it was a very hard decision for me and my family to make," Tu'ipulotu said. "During my time away Semore Kurdi has taken over the club, and it is great to see the progress that has been made under his leadership, especially with the appointment of Dean Richards as director of rugby."
