Argentina hope to have fly-half Juan Martin Hernandez fit and firing for next weekend's Rugby Championship clash with New Zealand in Wellington.

The Racing Metro playmaker missed the Pumas' 16-16 draw with South Africa last time out after picking up a knock in training, but he has been recalled to the squad to face the reigning Rugby World Cup champions.

He is joined on the panel by Juan Manuel Leguizamón, Agustin Creevy, Rafael Carballo and Maximiliano Bustos, although Racing Metro back-row Alvaro Galindo faces another two to three weeks on the sidelines with injury.

"In the World Cup the boys played against New Zealand and it was an extremely demanding game," Pumas skipper Juan Martin Fernandez Lobbe said. "We will try to be more aggressive on defence, to not allow them to develop as many phases. We came to grow and we want to go one step further on Saturday."
