England have swapped four in their squad ahead of the Dubai leg of the HSBC Sevens World Series including a first appearance for Alex Gray. Jeff Williams, Sam Edgerley and Marcus Watson have also been added to the 12-man party by head coach Simon Amor to complete the quartet of new faces. Gray led an England Under-20 side that included Owen Farrell, Christian Wade, Mako Vunipola and Joe Launchbury to the final of the 2011 Junior World Championship. The 22-year-old number eight left London Irish to sign a full-time England Sevens contract last summer. Amor said: "Competition has been fierce, which is exactly what you want as a coach to keep driving up standards." England face Canada, the USA and Fiji in Pool C on the opening day at a venue where they captured back-to-back titles in 2010 and 2011.
