Wasps add Lorenzo Cittadini to front row options

Wasps have added to their options in the front-row with the signing of Italian prop Lorenzo Cittadini.

Cittadini joins from Benetton Treviso and will be the third Italian at Wasps next season along with international team-mates Andrea Masi and Carlo Festuccia.

Wasps director of rugby Dai Young said: "Lorenzo will be an excellent addition to our squad next year. I rate him as a very good prop at the highest level and his experience at international level will be a real boost for us.

"We've got some very good young props here at Wasps who will learn a lot from working with him. We want to build a squad which has strength in depth in every position and bringing in players like this will help us continue to build on that aim."

Cittadini, who has 32 caps for Italy, will join other new signings Bradley Davies, James Gaskell and Rob Miller at Adams Park next season.

Wasps sit seventh in the Aviva Premiership table, four points clear of Exeter Chiefs. Finishing seventh this year would bring Wasps a play-off against the seventh-placed Top 14 side for a spot in the new European Rugby Champions Cup.
