The Hurricanes will honour former teammate Jerry Collins ahead of their Super Rugby semi-final against the Brumbies in front of a full house on Saturday at Westpac Stadium.

A giant No.6 jersey will be carried around the stadium by young players from his Northern United Rugby Club, and aisle six of the stadium will be filled with supporters from the Porirua club. All proceeds from the evening's program collection will be donated to the Give a Little Jerry Collins Memorial Fund, which had reached $NZ49,290 ($A44,000) on Thursday.

Collins, 34, and his Canadian partner Alana Madill were killed when a bus hit their car near Beziers earlier this month, leaving their three-month-old daughter Ayla fighting for her life in hospital.

Collins played 48 Tests for the All Blacks from 2001-07, and 85 Super Rugby matches for the Hurricanes.
