Argentina's Super Rugby franchise has been unveiled in Buenos Aires with Raul Perez confirmed as head coach of the Jaguares.

Perez will work alongside a team of three assistant coaches -- Felipe Contepomi, Jose Pellicena and Martin Gaitan -- while the side will be captained by the Pumas' Rugby World Cup skipper Agustin Creevy.

"This is something historic, that there should be a professional Argentine team in a tournament like this where the best rugby in the world is played," said Creevy.

"I have no doubt that with Los Jaguares in Super Rugby, the sport will become even more popular (in Argentina) and ... interest more people and potential players."

They will then face another away match, against the Sharks, on Mar. 5 before their home debut on Mar. 18 against the Chiefs.

Creevy will lead a side packed full of international experience, with fellow Argentina stars Santiago Cordero, Juan Martin Hernandez and Nicolas Sanchez among those to sign deals with the fledgling franchise.
