Turner and Ripol agree new Sharks contracts

Sale Sharks have announced that Stuart Turner and Oriol Ripol have both agreed new contacts with the Premiership club.

Stuart, who joined the club, from Rotherham in 2001 and was a member of both European Challenge Cup winning teams as well as the Guinness Premiership winning side of 2006, has put pen to paper on a new one year deal.

"I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at the club and am delighted to sign a new deal," commented the 35-year-old prop.

Ripol, who originally joined the club in 2005 and was also a member of the Guinness Premiership winning side of 2006, has signed a new two-year deal to remain at Edgeley Park.

Ripol, who was top try scorer last season and is currently top of the try scoring chart this season with nine, added, "I have always been happy at Sale Sharks and am looking forward to helping the club to more success in the future."

Commenting on the news Director of Rugby Philippe Saint Andre added, "Both players have always given me 100% and I am delighted they have put pen to paper.

"Both had offers from elsewhere but they have stayed loyal to the club."
