This weekend will be the first-ever clash between Italy and the Pacific Islanders.

The hosts come into the clash on the back of back-to-back defeats at the hands of Australia (30-20) and Argentina (14-12).

Meanwhile, the Islanders have also suffered defeat on successive weekends with heavy losses to England (39-13) and France (42-17).

The Pacific Islanders have toured every two years since 2004 but are yet to win a Test match. In 2004, the Islanders played Australia, New Zealand and South Africa before tackling the three Scotland, Wales and Ireland in 2006.
