France have received a boost as they make their final preparations for their Six Nations opener with Ireland as three potential injury worries have been cleared up ahead of an important week's training.

Prop Benoit Lecouls and locks Lionel Nallet and Sebastien Chabal all sustained slight knocks during club fixtures last weekend. Lecouls looked to be the biggest doubt after picking up a neck injury in Toulouse's shock defeat to Biarritz, while Nallet has been nursing a rib injury. Chabal has recovered from a shoulder injury following Sale's win over Worcester on Saturday.

France face a crunch trip to Croke Park first-up in the Six Nations, with their title-credentials hanging on a good performance following a disappointing set of autumn internationals results.

"The team have proved they have the potential to compete with the best in he world,2 said coach Marc Lievremont. "The objective will be to win the first match in Ireland. After that, we can perhaps think about winning the Six Nations. I believe in this squad."
