The future of Scotland coach Frank Hadden will be decided at the end of April following a review of his side's performance in the Six Nations.

Scottish Rugby Union (SRU) chief executive Gordon McKie will review the tournament, in which Hadden will have failed to deliver the SRU's minimum of two wins should they lose to England at Twickenham on Saturday.

Scotland also failed to record two wins during last season's tournament, but McKie maintains that this will only be one of the factors taken under consideration during the review process.

"Speculation that this [the England game] is Frank's last game is somewhat premature," McKie said. "I will carry out a review with coaches, selected players and others on the periphery of the national team and reach our conclusion and share it with the board.

"We review the performance of the national team after every series be it World Cup, autumn Tests or Six Nations. It can take anywhere between two and four weeks; I suspect Frank will want a break after the Six Nations."

McKie also took time to make clear that he has no regrets over inserting the minimum victory target into Scotland's five-year strategic plan, believing that all factors can be considered when analysing why and where games were lost.

"We will take into account all factors including how unlucky were we, frustration of dropping a ball and losing the game. How competitive were we? World rankings. Do we believe the future is rosy?" he said. "Without making excuses, I think we have been unlucky. Against Ireland, we lost one line-out and we lose the game. Overall, the performance against Ireland was a good one. If we win at Twickenham, that will be the first time we have won in 26 years which would be a good end."
