Leeds centre James Tincknell has won a two-year deal with the Aviva Premiership side after impressing since the start of the campaign.

The former Wharfedale and England Counties midfielder joined Andy Key and Neil Back's side on an initial six-month deal but has been rewarded for his form with an improved contract.

"It has been unbelievable how things have worked out for me since I came to Leeds," he said. "I got my head down in pre-season and worked hard and thankfully the coaching staff have rewarded me for that and I have got some game time.

"I have really enjoyed playing as part of the team and I think my confidence has grown with every game. I am constantly learning whether that is at training or in games and I know I still have a lot to learn."
