Welsh referee Nigel Owens will take charge of the Heineken Cup final between Leinster and Ulster on May 19. Owens has already taken charge of two Heineken Cup finals back in 2008 and 2009 and the all-Irish match will be his 70th game in European club tournaments. Owens has refereed on seven of the eight weekends of tournament action so far this season and whistled Edinburgh's famous win over Toulouse back at the quarter-final stage of the competition. Meanwhile, England's Wayne Barnes has been handed the honour of refereeing the Amlin Challenge Cup final between Toulon and Biarritz which takes place on May 18 at The Stoop. Barnes took charge of the Heineken Cup semi-final between Clermont Auvergne and Leinster and also officiated the final between Toulouse and Biarritz back in 2010.
