The Brumbies will be forced to shuffle their backline in the coming weeks after Robbie Coleman was ruled out for a month with a groin injury.

The fullback - also an accomplished centre - picked up the problem in his side's opening round Super Rugby win over the Western Force.

Brumbies boss Jake White confirmed that he will miss their next assignment, against the Cheetahs on March 10, which follows a bye this weekend.

"At this stage, he is likely to miss between three to four weeks but it could well be less than that depending on how he recovers and how he responds to physio," White told AAP. "Robbie will miss the game against the Cheetahs and we will assess things after that."

White is expected to have Wallabies midfielder Pat McCabe back in his ranks following shoulder surgery, with the 23-year-old also an experienced option at fullback.
