The Stormers have recruited London Irish's Canadian No.8 Jebb Sinclair on a short-term deal.

The South African franchise are currently without Schalk Burger, Duane Vermeulen and Nick Koster with the trio expected to be back in action following the Springboks' three-Test tour with England in June.

Following their failed attempt to land former Stormer Francois Louw on a loan deal from Bath, they have now turned to Sinclair who shone during the 2011 World Cup for the Canucks.

Sinclair will be available for action in the Stormers' next four games and will then go on to play for Canada in June when they take on the USA, Italy and Georgia. Sinclair is then expected to return back to the Stormers for three matches but will be unable to play in the knockout stage of the tournament due to SANZAR regulations.

Sinclair's move follows in the footsteps of Saracens hooker Schalk Brits who was recruited by the Stormers for one match at the end of last season as injury cover.
