The Reds have bolstered their forward stocks with the signing of former Brumbies lock Adam Wallace-Harrison on a two-year deal. The 30-year-old began his career in Queensland before making the Wallabies squad while with the Brumbies and now returns to Australia having spent three years playing in Japan.

"Adam can play at six or lock and is a lineout organiser, so he gives us versatility as well as that specialist skill set," Reds boss Ewen McKenzie said. "The set piece is crucial so you need to have that covered. He's committed to the Reds for two years so his experience will be invaluable in our squad development plans."

Leeds have signed Bath back-row Daniel Browne on a two-year deal. The 31-year-old has further experienced in the Premiership after a stint with Northampton Saints.

"Last year was a tough year for me because I did not get much game time and I'm really keen and excited to come here and prove that I've still got a lot to give and a lot to offer Leeds Carnegie this season," he said.

Utility back Scott Staniforth has signed a new one-year deal with the Western Force, ending speculation about his playing future. The former Wallaby, 32, resisted overtures from other franchises in order to remain in Perth, having returned there in 2010 following a stint in Japan.

Waratahs wing Lachie Turner, a member of the Australian Barbarians squad that played England in two recent tour fixtures, has linked up with the Australian Sevens squad as they begin their preparations for the Commonwealth Games in New Delhi in October.

The Wallabies wing is joined in the squad for a training camp at the Australian Institute of Sport in Canberra by Reds fullback Luke Morahan and skipper Pat McCutcheon, who missed the final legs of the IRB Sevens World series due to Super 14 commitments with the Waratahs.

Cardiff Blues have secured added forward cover with the signing of Doncaster duo Bryn Griffiths and Tom Davies. Both players are Welsh qualified, with lock Griffiths having played for the Dragons and Wales at Under-18 and Under-21 level. Prop Davis is a former U18 cap.
