Melbourne Rebels have named an unchanged 22 for Friday night's Super Rugby clash against ACT Brumbies at AAMI Park in Melbourne. Head coach Damien Hill has stuck solid with his players following their 30-23 victory over the Force but knows a repeat of last week's performance won't be enough to trump Jake White's in-form side.

"We are going to have to improve on last week's performance, because this Brumbies side is definitely a step up," Hill said. "They will be one of the best sides at the breakdown this season, and that will be our primary focus going into the match."

While pleased to get the win against the plucky Force, skipper Gareth Delve says his players were unhappy with elements of the team's performance in Round 1.

"We are certainly happy with four points, but a few heads were down afterwards," Delve said. "However it does show where we have set our standards this year. We want to be consistent, we want to perform and we want to play quality rugby."

"There were a couple of things we got right over the pre-season that we didn't back up," Delve added. "But we have come away with a win, we come away with a good start and we will build for this Brumbies match which is a huge one for this club and this city."
