Blues centre Francis Saili has been charged by police for driving while disqualified, the second New Zealand Super Rugby player in as many days to be charged with a serious crime

Saili will appear in court on Tuesday and will subsequently miss the Blues' match against Queensland Reds in Brisbane on Friday.

The Blues have stood down Saili once before, after he and brother Peter breached team protocol in South Africa in 2012.

Saili's court appearance comes after Hurricanes and All Blacks winger Julian Savea was remanded on bail without plea on Monday. Savea was ordered not to contact his partner or to visit his old address.
