The Bulls swept aside the Southern Kings for the second time this season, winning 48-18 for an eighth straight Super Rugby victory on Saturday.

The Bulls' six-try win sent them above the Brumbies and second overall to New Zealand's Chiefs, and strengthened the three-time champions' hold on the South African conference. The Bulls haven't lost since being edged 23-20 by Australia's Brumbies on March 30.

Backs Louis Fouche, Jan Serfontein and Francois Hougaard and forwards Chiliboy Ralepelle, Jacques Potgieter and Deon Stegmann scored tries for the Bulls, who could also afford to start the round-18 game with some of their Springboks on the bench.

The Kings had two tries from flanker Wimpie van der Walt but look set to finish last in the conference and face an end-of-season relegation play-off.

The Bulls proved far too strong and continued their winning streak against the Southern Kings
