Sonny Bill Williams remains undecided about his immediate playing future, considering whether to play another season with Sydney Roosters in the National Rugby League or return to rugby union and the Chiefs.

Williams is considered most likely to re-sign with the Roosters for another season before returning to the Chiefs in 2015 to press his claims for All Blacks selection ahead of the Rugby World Cup in England, but he said this week that "I'm 50-50 at the moment".

"I don't know what I'm going to do," he said in an interview with Fox Sports. "For me, personally, as long as I'm out there performing on the field that's all I can do. Everything else seems to fall into place off it. Whatever I do I'll do it 110 per cent and give it my all. If I'm not back there next year [at the Chiefs] I'll be going for the boys as much as I am this year."

Williams said, however, that Rugby World Cup 2015 was "definitely" in his thoughts but "a lot of things have got to come to fruition before then".

Williams, meanwhile, paid tribute to the Chiefs' "brotherhood" as his former team-mates bid for back-to-back Super Rugby final victories in the decider against the Brumbies at Waikato Stadium in Hamilton on Saturday.

"The culture - that's probably the biggest thing that stood out for me when I went there," Williams told Fox Sports. "You just want to play for each other - you wanna put your head in dark places … you wanna make those tackles and you wanna bust arse for each other.

"It's more like a brotherhood back there. Obviously [the Chiefs have got] great coaches [Dave] Rennie, [Wayne] Smith, [Tom] Coventry. Everyone's bought into what they see - their foresight.

"And it was just an awesome experience and obviously this year has been no different."
