In a not so successful round for the Australian sides, there was one player who proved himself the best and took the title of Player of the Round. In his return from injury, Quade Cooper didn't win the Reds the game, but he did almost everything else, revitalising their attack with his vast array of skills.

Although the Reds went down disappointingly to the Lions, there was one try by Samu Kerevi that showed some razzle dazzle and won Try of the Round. It wasn't his actual try, but the lead up in the previous phase which was outstanding, involving decoy runners and a smart inside pass from Ben Tapuai to Quade Cooper that enabled the try to be scored.

While after four weeks there is a new leader of the Greg Growden Medal Points. Despite the Rebels loss to the Hurricanes, fullback Mike Harris had a strong performance and climbed above fellow team-mate Scott Higginbotham to secure top spot after seven rounds.
