Fiji sevens and fifteens administrators are at loggerheards about player availability come the first round of the Epson Pacific Rim Series.

National coach Greg Smith has already indicated that he wants the likes of Apolosi Satala, Filimoni Delasau, Setareaki Tawake and Jope Tuikabe to be in the side that will take on Japan in their first game of the Epson Cup Series.

However, national sevens management also want the same players to play in the abbreviated code for the country at the Air France sevens which will be the last of the IRB World Sevens Series and which falls on the same weekend of the Epson Cup game.

The management of both teams are expected to meet over next week to decide on the players.

Meanwhile, The Fijian Sevens squad are confident of claiming the inaugural World Sevens Series title in Paris in May.

The team knows that they have to be in the final of the Air France Sevens to be able to secure the first ever IRB Sevens Series.

However, it is still to be confirmed whether maestro Waisale Serevi and French team mate Viliame Satala will be able to play for the Fiji side. National coach Peni Veidreyaki said that the boys were to take a two week break before they would re-group in Suva to train for the France tournament in May.

"The boys know the enormity of the task ahead and they will be working hard to see that they finish the series at the top," Veidreyaki said.

Sensational winger Filimoni Delasau is expected to be at peak form especially after missing out a few games during the Japan sevens last week.

"France will be tough because we know New Zealand will be training hard to beat us too," he said.

"But I am confident that we will do well there," Delasau added.
