Brumbies winger Henry Speight has revealed his side will be motivated by revenge when they tackle the Western Force in a must-win Super Rugby clash on Saturday in Perth. The ACT ultimately went down by just five points in last year's final against the Chiefs, but Speight says a final-round upset loss to the Force was what upset the apple cart.

Encouraged by the six tries the Force leaked last week against the NSW Waratahs, the Brumbies are eager to make amends for their own bumbling start to the season against Queensland. Speight says the Brumbies haven't forgotten what the Force did to them last winter.

"It's still very [prominent] in our memories and that was a stumbling block on the way to the finals," he said. "If we won that, it would have really set us up on the road to the finals and things could have been different. But all our focus is on rectifying our mistakes and improve on last weekend."

He said seeing the Force concede six tries against the Waratahs was especially appetising for the Brumbies wingers.

"With the back three we have, I'm excited about it. Will be good to get some running footy under our belt," Speight said.

Last week Speight was starved of the ball as the Brumbies attack faltered against the Reds. On Saturday at NIB Stadium, Speight will go head-to-head with Wallabies incumbent Nick Cummins and the Fijian-born giant is looking to bury the Honey Badger and stake his claim for an Australian call-up later in the year.

"I see it as an exciting challenge and he'll probably be saying the same," said Speight, who won't be a stopped by a knock he took to the ribs against the Reds. "[Cummins] is probably the benchmark for No.11s in Australia after the spring tour."
