Hugh McMeniman will return to Western Force's starting side for the match against the Chiefs at nib Stadium on Saturday, having now fully recovered from the back injury he sustained against the Brumbies in round three.

The 22-Test Wallabies forward returns on the blindside flank, with Angus Cottrell moving to No.8 in place of Ben McCalman, who misses the Chiefs fixture after receiving a two-week suspension for a dangerous tackle in the match against the Highlanders last week. McMeniman travelled to New Zealand last week, but he was not named in the side that defeated the Highlanders 31-29.

The match-day squad is otherwise unchanged from the list that defeated Melbourne Rebels and the Highlanders in the previous two weeks.

Michael Foley said the Force was looking forward to the challenge of playing the two-time reigning Super Rugby champions.

"The Chiefs are the benchmark side in the competition" the Force head coach said.

"Having said that, the opportunity to play them at home in front of our supporters is exciting. The response of the team to the challenges of the last two weeks speaks volumes for the character of the group. We're learning all the time. Already this season our understanding of how to gain momentum, as well as our ability to remain composed when we don't have it, has improved."
