ARU won't block Folau from Bulls clash

The ARU won't block star NSW Waratahs fullback Israel Folau from playing in the Super Rugby clash against the Bulls at Allianz Stadium on Saturday night. After missing the Waratahs' two games in South Africa due to a throat injury, Folau was named to play against the Western Force on Saturday night before the ARU controversially pulled him out for fear of further damage.

However an ARU spokesman told AAP on Wednesday that Folau would be available for selection for this weekend's match, and it would be up to the Waratahs on whether or not he was selected to play. Waratahs coach Michael Cheika will announce his team late on Wednesday night and is certain to include the Wallabies superstar.

Meanwhile, SANZAR has advised it has granted a request from Cheika's legal representative to postpone a judicial hearing scheduled to commence on Wednesday afternoon. Cheika faces possible sanctioning over his alleged sideline confrontation with a television cameraman in Durban.

South African television broadcaster Super Sport lodged a complaint after Cheika sought - and was denied - entry to the playing field to deliver lineout instructions to lock Kane Douglas after Dennis was sin-binned. It's understood the cameraman was filming Cheika and that the Waratahs coach brushed him away.

The application was accepted, and the matter has been re-scheduled for 5.30pm (AEST) next Thursday.
