Waratahs No 8 Wycliff Palu was the standout player of the round to win the highest number of points in the Greg Growden Medal for Australia's best Super Rugby player. Palu has been in excellent form for both the Wallabies and Waratahs in recent weeks, and his effective work at the back of the scrum and in open play saw him score 8.5 points against the Brumbies.

Jacques Potgieter continues to impress with his strong running and hard hits while Bernard Foley and Israel Folau received points for their impressive work in the backline.

The Reds were also rewarded for their top effort over the Rebels, with five players moving up the Medal count. James Horwill's leading effort saw him earn 8 points while Nick Frisby's work leading the side earned him his first points of the season.

With just two rounds to go, Waratahs flanker Michael Hooper holds a slender lead, ahead of Nic White and Ben McCalman.
