The NSW Waratahs will host the Brumbies in an all-Australian semi-final on Saturday night while the Crusaders will host the Sharks with two spots in the Super Rugby decider up for grabs. The Super Rugby semi-final schedule was confirmed after the Brumbies' thrilling two-point victory over the Chiefs and the Sharks' come-from-behind victory over the Highlanders in Durban.

The seven-time champion Crusaders will host the Sharks at AMI Stadium in Christchurch before the table-topping Waratahs host their fierce rivals from Canberra at Allianz Stadium, ensuring that an Australian side will feature in the grand final the following weekend.

The Waratahs and Brumbies faced-off only three weeks ago with the Waratahs hammering an injury-ravaged Brumbies side 39-8, but since stars Joe Tomane, Pat McCabe and Matt Toomua returned to the side the Brumbies have downed the Western Force and the Chiefs.

The Crusaders and Sharks met at Christchurch in round 14 where the Crusaders went down 25-30 to a 14-man Sharks side, giving the Sharks their first win over the Crusaders in New Zealand and the Crusaders their first loss to a South African side at home since 2001.
