The Reds have set their sights on bringing more talent from Fiji across to Brisbane.

Following a poor campaign by the 2011 Super Rugby champions' standards, the Reds are keen to add to their squad ahead of the 2015 competition. They had two Fijians in their squad for the 2014 season - Chris Kuridrani and Samu Kerevi - and are keen to add more.

The Reds' operations manager Sam Cordingley was present at a recent match between Nadroga and Suva and he told AFP: "We have a number of foreign positions within our senior squad which open up opportunities for Fijian players and we are also open to developing players within our academy.

"There is also a large Fijian community within Brisbane and with the short distance between Queensland and Fiji it obviously makes the transition for players easier."

Brive already have an academy on the island and Fiji Sevens coach Ben Ryan spoke to ESPN this week about the player drain in Fiji and his first year in charge of the team.
