The Waratahs may have outplayed the Reds in Brisbane, with Matt Carraro impressing most in the match with his strong sideline run that put Bernard Foley under the posts, but it was Christian Leali'ifano from the Brumbies who took the Man of the Round honours. The midfielder is often forgotten, but he had an excellent all-round game, especially in attack and was instrumental in the home team taking early control.

However, the leader board remains unchanged with Scott Higginbotham keeping the lead of the Medal tally with 19.5 points ahead of Will Genia on 15.5.

In a match that included six impressive tries including some meat for the Honey Badger, Joe Tomane who took the Try of the Round honours. It all revolved around a classic pass from Leali'ifano in the tackle to put the Brumbies winger away.
